Product Information

Newly designed and brutally tested by the smiths at Piginor, this handmade root saw is no joke.

Built to cut through the toughest roots in even the rockiest soil, the root saw is the tool you didn’t know you needed.

No more hacking away with a useless spade, or dulling your best hatchets and chainsaw chains. Now you have a purpose-built tool for the job.

Forged by hand with hardened steel, this root saw features a scalloped blade for quick and efficient cutting, with a three savage wide-set teeth for starting and ending your cuts. The long blade allows you to work comfortably instead of curling yourself up to reach into a hole in the ground. The tang and ferrule construction ensures this tool will last through all the use and abuse you can muster. The hickory handle means a simple and comfortable grip for small hands and bear paws alike.

Care

These tools are man-made with raw materials extracted from the earth. Care for them as such, and they will outlive you. Periodically apply beeswax or linseed oil to wooden handles, wipe blades down with oil, and don’t leave them out in the elements. If you follow these simple instructions, your great great grandchildren will thank you.

Use a sharpening stone, bastard file, or chainsaw file for (serrated edges) to keep your tools sharp.
